Privacy Policy

Remosia Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Company") respects user privacy and is committed to protecting personal information in the iOS application "Sunlight Checker" (hereinafter referred to as "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 No Personal Information Collection

The Service adopts a server-zero architecture and does not collect personal information (name, email address, phone number, etc.) from users.

1.2 Location Information

The Service uses device location information when users perform sunlight checks from their current location. Location information is processed only within the user's device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Location usage is optional, and users can disable it at any time in settings.

1.3 Favorite Location Data

Favorite locations saved by users (latitude, longitude, floor number) are stored locally on the user's device using SwiftData. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

1.4 Cache Data

The Service caches PLATEAU 3D building data on the device to improve performance. Cache data is managed only within the user's device and is never transmitted to our servers.

1.5 Apple ID and Payment Information

Pro version subscription purchases use Apple ID. Payment information is managed by Apple, and the Company does not have direct access to it. Subscription management is handled on-device through StoreKit 2.

2. How We Use Information

Information obtained in the Service is used for the following purposes:

• Calculating and displaying sunlight hours
• Saving and managing favorite locations
• Caching and optimizing PLATEAU 3D building data
• Managing Pro version subscriptions (via StoreKit 2)

3. Information Sharing

The Company does not share user information with third parties.

The Service adopts a server-zero architecture, and all data processing is completed within the user's device. No data is transmitted to our servers.

The Service uses PLATEAU 3D city model data (public data) provided by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, but does not associate it with user information.

4. Data Retention Period

Favorite location data and cache data are stored on the device until the user uninstalls the app.

Users can delete cache data at any time from the app settings.

5. User Rights

Users have the following rights:

• Right to disable location usage
• Right to delete favorite location data
• Right to delete cache data
• Right to cancel Pro version subscription (available from iOS Settings app)

6. Security

The Service adopts a server-zero architecture, so user data is never transmitted externally. All data is encrypted and stored within the user's device.

However, we recommend enabling iOS "Device Passcode" and "Data Protection" features to protect against device loss or theft.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Third-Party Services

8.1 Apple MapKit

The Service uses Apple MapKit for map display and geocoding. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to MapKit usage.

8.2 PLATEAU Data

The Service uses PLATEAU 3D city model data provided by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. This data is public and is not associated with personal information.

8.3 Apple StoreKit 2

Apple StoreKit 2 is used for Pro version subscription management. Payment information is managed by Apple, and the Company does not have direct access to it.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

The Company may change this Privacy Policy as necessary. The revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this page. In case of significant changes, we will notify users within the app.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
