Terms of Service

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "Terms") set forth the terms and conditions for the use of the iOS application "Sunlight Checker" (hereinafter referred to as "Service") provided by Remosia Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Company").

When using the Service, you must read and agree to these Terms in their entirety.

Article 2 (Service Description)

The Service is an iOS application that visualizes sunlight hours at any location in Japan using PLATEAU 3D city model data provided by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, along with solar orbit calculations.

The main features of the Service include:

• Calculation of sunlight hours at any location on the map
• Display of monthly and hourly sunlight data
• 3D simulation considering the impact of surrounding buildings (Pro version)
• Multi-location comparison feature (Pro version)
• Saving of favorite locations

Article 3 (User Registration)

The Service can be used with your Apple ID. No user registration is required to use the Service.

However, to use Pro version features, you must purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store.

Article 4 (Subscription)

The Service offers a free plan and a Pro version subscription (hereinafter referred to as "Pro version").

4.1 Free Plan

The free plan provides unlimited access to the following features:

• Sunlight checks (unlimited)
• Monthly chart viewing
• Sunlight data for floors 1-5
• Saving of favorite locations (up to 5)

4.2 Pro Version

The Pro version is a subscription at $3.99/month or $29.99/year. In addition to all free plan features, the Pro version includes:

• Sunlight data for floors 1-100
• Hourly timeline
• 3D shadow visualization
• Multi-location comparison
• Unlimited favorite locations

4.3 Payment and Auto-Renewal

Payment for the Pro version is made through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew and will be automatically charged monthly or annually unless canceled.

You can cancel your subscription at any time by selecting "Subscriptions" in the iOS Settings app. After cancellation, you can continue using the Service until the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Refunds

Refunds for subscriptions are subject to Apple's refund policy. The Company cannot directly process refunds for purchases made through the App Store.

Article 5 (Prohibited Acts)

When using the Service, users are prohibited from engaging in the following acts:

• Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
• Acts related to criminal activity
• Altering the content of the Service or modifying/deleting copyright notices contained in the Service
• Using the Service for commercial purposes (except for personal real estate consideration)
• Acts that interfere with the operation of the Service
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service
• Any other acts deemed inappropriate by the Company

Article 6 (Data Accuracy and Disclaimer)

The Service uses PLATEAU 3D city model data (CC BY 4.0 license) provided by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The sunlight hour calculation results provided by the Service should be used for reference purposes only.

The Company makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or timeliness of the information provided by the Service. The Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the Service.

When making important decisions such as purchasing or renting real estate, please consult with professionals (real estate agents, architects, etc.).

Article 7 (Intellectual Property Rights)

Intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the Company or third parties that have licensed them to the Company.

The copyright of the PLATEAU 3D city model data used in the Service belongs to Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and is used under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Article 8 (Changes and Suspension of Service)

The Company may change, add, or discontinue all or part of the Service content without prior notice to users. The Company may also temporarily suspend the provision of the Service without prior notice for maintenance, troubleshooting, or other reasons.

Article 9 (Changes to Terms)

The Company may change these Terms without prior notice to users when deemed necessary. The revised Terms shall take effect from the time they are announced within the Service.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.

In the event of any disputes arising from the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
